Is there such a thing? If so, where is it? (On the internet to buy?/What site?).

NO they don't exist.N64 used cartridges not discs. The whole reason for a mod chip is to play back ups.

I wouldn't want one even if they did exist because this console is old as a rock and you can get games dirt cheap.

Tycobb, do you have ANY idea how wrong your statement is ?
Let me give you a brief lesson in game console history...

First off, originally mod chips where used to play Import games on systems like the NES, Master System, and so on.

Later on, the need for the chips was negated by what products that where affectionately called "converters" by import game fans.
Then when the disc based game consoles came along, people wanting to play imports also started looking for ways to make and use backups, and from that need the modchip as we now know it was born.

Also, like with the NES, Megadrive/Genesis and SNES (don't remember what the NES on was called, but for the SNES and Megadrive/Genesis it was called the Super Wild Card DX2 backup unit), there where ways of making and using ROM backups of original games on the N64, using a RAM based emulator system that plugged into the cardslot, just like it did with the older consoles.
I don't know what the system used for the N64 was called, and it's nigh impossible to find nowadays, but i know it must still be available somewhere... google it ;-)

I googled it and actually found a few but everywhere they are "not in production" anymore.

They aren't, but i'm sure there are still a bunch that can be found on Ebay and other auction sites.
And there's always people trying to get rid of old stuff like that, so keep on looking (and hoping), and maybe you'll find one.

@ feind I know what they were originally used for.A premodded n64 you will not find.I'm speaking in the traditional sense like you were reffering to.Mod chips as we know them today.

Hell even wikipedia doesn't count the cartridge based game console.

One must remember this stems from another thread where we're talking about modding as we know it today.I guess I jumped the gun and misinterpreted what was really meaning.http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/362745

@cabeach .I know of one you may be able to find! It's called n64 passport plus 3.Look for it on ebay or something. It will let you play import games. It's not a modchip because that's not needed to play imports. It's a cartridge.
