    I need someone to give me (in detail) instructions on how to prepare (join, convert, encode, etc...whatever you have to do) and burn two .mpg files to a DVD+R disk. I have the two .mpg files untouched...What do I do?

    Please include suggestions to any software that is needed. Thanks in advance.

    [bold] If the mpgs comply with your system (PAL or NTSC) no conversion is needed [/bold](PAL <-> NTSC), just 'authoring'
    (mpg --> .ISO (+burn) / DVD-R).
    Depending on the authoring application you use (I prefer DVD Lab, which allows (S)VCD to be authored on a DVD) the guides are written in:
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/
    [bold]
    DVDR: DVDR authoring and burning
    [/bold]
    Ah, remember: a good 'authoring' application does not try to convert files (like Nero does on (S)VCD movies on DVD), but just adds them in the 'DVD-compilation'.

    I won't be of more help, sorry...
