I'm running Windows 98se My Primary Busmaster IDE Controller (dual fifo) driver in the Device Manager shows a yellow !. (Driver not installed) I have tried repeatedly to reinstall this driver by updating, etc. I've updated using the CD sent with my motherboard...no luck. I've tried from Safe Mode as well as regular mode. I've about run out of options. Anyone have any ideas that might help me. My machine is not performing correctly in this condition.
what is the chipset for the ide controller as in intel, via, sis or amd?? have you tried to reload windows on top of self? have you tried to remove the device from device manager & restart windows to load it's driver?
