    hey all,

i have been doing a lot of work on my laptop which has word 2007 on but my school computers use 2003. i cant change the software of cause. so how can i print this of. i have a lot of work and no access to a printer at home.

is there any way that i can convert it. i tried to open some of the files in 2003 and it tries to convert it but its all ends up as a load of symbols. if i did get it to convert it all, im worried that all of the formatting will change and i will have to spend hours changing everything.

    so... can anyone help?

Generally this happens because you have used a template in 2007 that is not available in 2003. There is a work around. For one you could remove the template that is in the 2007 file, or you could use this work around: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929993

    I hope that helps!

    hey thanks,

after doing a bit more searching i found a Microsoft program that allows you to view word 2007 documents in word 2003, its on the Microsoft website and its free if anyone wants to have a look.
