After I had my pc serviced (motherboard replaced), the printer now doesn't print properly. It prints a line or two of random characters, then endless blank pages. I checked all the connections and reinstalled the drivers, but the problem persists. I ran the diagnostic program that comes with it and here is what it gives me:

Its hooked on by parallel cable. The BIOS setting for the parallel port is set to "NORMAL". I can choose from "normal," "Bi-directional"," "EPP," or "ECP."

Tried EPP, then EPP. Didn't solve the prolem. When I choose ECP, i can select the ECP Mode DMA Channel. It defaults to DMA3, but I can choose DMA0, DMA1 or DMA3. Would that make a difference? ALso for EPP, i can select EPP Version 1.9 or 1.7. 1.9 is the default.
