i'm trying to share my hp printer between my vista desktop and my vista laptop. i have a linksys wrt600n router. i have printer sharing enabled and the printer name is the same on both computers. when i set up the printer on my laptop through the wizard the test page prints fine. after that nothing else will print. my desktop is ok (it's connected by usb to printer). windows firewall is disabled. i'm running norton 360 on both computers. any help?
I've found a program that works well, but it's not free. You can download a trial version for free. Go to http://www.networkmagic.com/ . I'm pretty good at networking, but I couldn't get my Vista machine to connect to my HP printer on a Windows ME machine (wireless). This program somehow managed to do it.
