Did a search but didn't find anything. My daughter, son-in-law and my three grandchildren (all under four!)live in Pompano Beach, FL and will not have power until sometime after Nov. 15th, so they're coming up here to Tampa to stay with me. Being a normal, adult male I have lots of files on my computer (HP) that I do NOT want them to have access to. :) I would think that my daughter would want to access her e-mail account however. How do I password-protect EVERYTHING on my pc but still allow her to have her e-mail access? Is this even possible?

Any help would be appreciated. BTW, they will be here Sunday.

    Thanks,

    Barry

    P. S. Please pray for my sanity!!!! LOL

Put all your Pron in a new folder. ;) Right click on the folder and select Properties. Check the tab for "hidden" (which is under read-only). Voila!

    Good luck!

Note: Make sure that hidden files arent shown.

DVD, I tried your instructions on an existing folder but when I looked at my Documents and Folders, there it was! I must be missing something here. Anyways, if I do get it hidden, how do I find it again?

    open my docs

    click on tools

    then folder options

    click onto view tab

just at the bottom before you have to scroll down it will say

    do not show hidden files

make sure this is selected (little green dot)

    and thats it

    or alternatively

winrar your folder so that it is compressed

    then uninstall winrar.

file will be seen as unreadable (give it a nice name as to not give it away.

then when kiddies have gone home

    reinstall winrar

    unzip
