    Hi

i have 2 drives that are IDE

    1 IS 200G the other is 80gb

on the 200gb it had a partition

40 gb for windows installation and rest is data

what i did by mistake delete the 40 gb partition

so now i have 200gb combined does this mean i have lost all data on that drive as i removed the windows partition. the partition has not been formatted.

On th 80gb drive i did a 20gb partiti for windows installation
    which wss successful

before i installed windows on the 80gb i disconnected the 200gb drive

when i now connect the 200gb screen is going blank when i disconnect it i have no problems getting to windows

the 200gb drive had a partition for windows and as the partition has been deleted and windows still on there and the drivenot formatted could that be the reason. i dont want to really format it as i have some data on there

what can i do to access the data on the 200gb drive

    thanks

moved to correct forum as not an all other topics issue. how are they jumpered as in master, slave or cable select as appears both drives are jumpered the same thereby conflicting with each other & not booting into windows?
