Problem Burning DVDs

    Hello my friends!
    First of all im sorry if im posting in the wrong place, please redirect the post if so.
    Im quite sad and desesperate with my burning dvds issue. I have an Asus DRW-1608P2 drive and all the time the burn process stops, returning a write error. I already format my HDD and put all the computer "as brand new" and the problem persists.

    Your problem could be as simple as bad media. I'm a registered user of Alcohol 120% although I've never burned a DVD with it. You gave a lot of information regarding it but system information would be more helpful.

    I dont think my problem is such as a bad media since I used sony dvd-r.

    Sony doesn't manufacture media so the next question is who made theirs?

    I wasn't implying anything! My point was that Sony doesn't make media! period! They get another manufacturer to make it and then they put their name on it.

    Not necessarily, it depends on who manufactured the media. Try a single brand of another make (avoid Memorex) and it that works then you have your answer. Verbatim is made by Mitsubishi and is usually quiet reliable and easy to find.
