I am using a video converter called "ImTOO RM Converter", it is registered. Whenever I try to convert an rmvb file I get this error message saying its encountered a problem and needs to be closed..

    Error Signature:
    AppName: avc.exe ModName: avcodec.dll

What can I do to fix this ??? I tried various rmvb files and I get it this all the time.

Well libavcodec can only handle older Real Video streams, so I guess that would suggest that it is using it for output rather than input. What are your output settings?

Since it is registered you could try asking ImToo/Xillisoft. If avcodec.dll is unmodified I could compile a newer set (avcodec, avutil, avformat), although that could case problems in itself if the app is designed around an older ffmpeg build.

I checked the program and there isnt anywhere that says output or input. What do you suggest I do ?

Here is a screen-shot of the error message that I get:

So there are no options to set the output video? Not even the filename?

First make sure you have installed the codec for that file. And you also can try other software, just for your information, can try winavi.
