I've got a problem copying a backup DVD directly to a blank DVD. There is a message popped out after I hit the burn button. It says "Not Enough Space to copy this disc. Free space is 1763MB and size of image file is 4465MB" However, I checked with my blank disc and I was certain the blank disc had a free space of 4.5GB. I don't know what went wrong. Please help!!
IF you know dvd's then you will know that the 4.7GB space is just Bull Shit. The real space is 4.38 GB.So ur image is over by 100mbs+.The companies count the mbs by the 1000's instead of real #.Just to sell more... IF you saw DVD-r media (4.7GB) for $0.80 and another (4.38GB) for $0.80 witch one will you buy? Just try to downsize ur movie in order to fit..Use elbys CloneDVD.
dvdasker, you are saying its telling you your free space is 1763mb. Is it a RW disc? Sounds like something is already on the so called blank. If it is a RW disc, erase it and try again. You can't but 50lbs of anything in a 5lb bag. Maybe try another blank. even at 4.5gig your file of 4465mb is too close for the disc to work well. Jerry
