    Hi,

I have some saved vcd movies on my harddrive but i can not seem to burn them back on to a cdr that i can play on my home Dvd/Vcd Player.
I've used nero 'burn a video cd' option but it starts to reencode it or it starts to do something that looks like will take a long time.
If the source of the copy in the hard drive is from a vcd (it has all the files from the original vcd eg. Segment, Ext, etc), shouldnt it be easy to just re burn it on to a cdr?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I would of been had you made a cd image rather than copying the files from the vcd. Your vcd burning program is looking for an mpeg file or with convert it into one. What you copied off the cd is a .dat file. You will have to let nero encode them. Yes this will take time.

You could try just burning all the folders from the vcd on to a cd using Nero data cd format. It is likely that the format will not be recognized by a dvd player. It might work because you have all the format related folders.

I have several DVD's on my hard drive (E:\). I bought a DVD-R to transfer them to. I have used DVD shrink, nero, DVD Decrypter, firestorm, and smartripper and for all they say that their is "no disc in drive". I don't know what to do. They work when i put in cd's. Can someone please help me. Thanks

    Dear dymx,

If you indeed have a dvd burner, then you may insert a blank dvd and run Nero Info Tool to check if everything is o.k.
