I'm a total newbie but I did a search and couldn't find the answer to my question. I have a P4 system 2.53 ghz. I'm using Windows XP Pro(fat 32) <-- that may be the problem? I used dvd decrypter to rip disney treasure planet. then dvd shrink to compress. when I use IMG tool to create a disc image it terminates and I get this message: "Microsoft visual c++ runtime library Program c:\program files. . . \img.exe abnormal program termination.
Hi, cant really help so not sure why im posting are you burning to and image for a reason? have you not got a dvd burner or just want it ready to burn at a later date? have you tried another program to achieve your goal. A lot of people on here have trouble with Nero but i use it all the time and it always works for me, maybe if you try making an image with that, if its too burn later or try another proggy. Sorry cant giv a definate answer.
After I compress, either with DVD2one or DVD Shrink, I take the files, put them into a folder called VIDEO_TS (caps and underscore are inportant.) I also create a blank AUDIO_TS folder. (not always needed but doesn't hurt.) I then use RecordNow and select data disc. I dump both of those folders into the file list, and click on the record button. As far as FAT32 is concerned; I would convert it over to NTFS. FAT32 doesn't support files over 4GB, and although most of the time DVD's are creating files of only 0.99 GB, it sure can't hurt to convert files over; just to be safe.
I have a pioneer A05 dvd-r. The problem is that I have only had this system for about two weeks and I have much to learn about making backup dvds. I was following a guide from dvdr-digest and they said to make an image file then use dvd decrypter to burn the dvd. I'm sure there are other ways to do this and I'm reading all the info I can find.
