The only problem with my xbox is that you have to tap the top of the console above the disc tray in order to eject the tray. This is more of an annoyance than a problem and i want to know what can i do to repair this problem????
Hi BIGnewb, Your problem seems to be with the drive gears or the tray alignment, this is usually the case with the old Thompson drives. The Samsung drives have a drive belt that needs to be replaced, when the belt is worn it slips instead of releasing the tray, plus the magnet that holds the spindel platter is on pretty strong... You can probably get a bag of assorted drive belts at Radioshack if you wan't to fix it on your own..
