problem encoding

    I have an .avi file when i play it on my pc it plays perfectly. no problems. However when i try to encode to vcd to play on my stand alone player i have a problem. When using mainconcept encoder or WinAVI Video converter it encodes but with the following showing in green writing in the top left hand corner. How do i get rid of this? Why is it on the encoded file (vcd) but not on the original .avi file? This is driving me nuts, any help much appreciated.Thanks.

    Disable the OSD in ffdshow.

    Thanks celtic_d but i cant find the OSD configuration in ff.....could you direct me please.....and thanks.

    Sorry celtic_d disregard my above post (i`m a twat). I just found it and disabled, hopefully this does the trick. Thanks.
