Hi, I'm new to dvd creating. I have some video on my computer that I'd like to burn onto a dvd. So I searched around and downloaded/registered for Im Too dvd creator 2.0.10 build 0620. So I added my files and chose the option of burning a dvd folder and then I was going to use dvd shrink to burn the dvd folder to a dvd. When Im too dvd creator finished generating the dvd folder , I opened the dvd folder with dvd shrink and in that little preview box in the bottom left I played the video just to make sure it was good and the video was fine but no audio. I opened the files in windows media player and the same thing happened, the video was great but no audio. I tried searching on these boards but I got confused as far as what to do. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
I had trouble using ImTOO. I don't use the creation tools, but i do use the ImTOO converting tools. Anyway, try converting your videos to .iso with this (bin to iso): http://www.magiciso.com/ and burn it with DVD Decrypter: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DVD_Decrypter.htm That should work.
Please check the file extentions..on the ImTOO output files...and report what they are...it's possible that it demuxed(seperated the audio and video into their Own(elemental) streams...if so you may have been playing just a .m2v (a video) file and not a audio file.
I have some a soccer match from the 1998 world cup that i am trying to put onto dvd. There are two files, one file for the first half and another file for the second half. The second half file is a little longer because the game went into overtime. The are both mpeg-4 files. when I asked it to create a temp directory it gave the following files: title0_01_00.vob and it says that this is an ac3 audio file and its size is 23,426 KB; then there is a title0_01_00.vob and this is the mpeg movie file and its size is 1954800 KB. Then there is another ac3 audio file which is title0_02_00.vob and its size is 42,372 KB, and finally there is the accompanying mpeg video file title0_02_00.vob and its size is 3402058 KB. I'm not sure what to do with these files? I also asked Im too dvd creator to make a dvd folder and IM too dvd creator created a dvd folder with audio ts and video ts and inside the video ts you have: vts_01_0 ; vts_01_1 ; vts_01_2 ; vts_01_3 ; vts_01_4 ; vts_01_5 ; vts_01_6 . You also have video ts which is backup movie info, also there is vts_01_0 which is backup file of the IFO, there is another backup file of the IFO :video_ts and finally there is a small 932 kb file : video_ts. When I load this dvd folder on DVD shrink, the video plays perfect just there is no sound. I think that the 2 AC3 audio files in the temporary director folder are the ones I need to get some sound. I just don't know what to do with these audio files in order to get sound to the dvd. Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
Is there like a codec or something....could this be the reason that I can't hear sound. I've burned dvd's before and never had this problem. I have the ac3 audio files in one folder and the dvd files in another folder. When I load the dvd files into dvd shrink, in the audio section is says : AC3 2-Ch unspecified and then to the right it gives the file size as 66 MB, and the box is checked. I haven't burned the dvd, but when I play these dvd files in windows media player, it doesn't detect sound.
I guess it's possible that you don't have a Dolby Codec(aC-3) on your Pc but it still should have given you some kind of warning pop-up..Like Codec not fould/ unavailable. Let's see.. a .vob is a video oject batch..it's a DVD complient Format which includes both Audio and Video...so there shouldn't be any seperate .mpeg files after ripping/compiling/decrypting your video. And VTS stands for Video Title Set, and it's common to have multiple VTS segments when you save to your Video_TS folder...it's the Authoring/Burning program's job to append/join these together in the correct order. Do you have Nero showtime, or WinDVD, or PowerDVD...any program designed to Play DVD's on your Computer? If so, each of these Must have the AC3 codec and you should be able to click on any of those VTS .vob files and be able to play the video with Sound! If they don't play with sound..my guess would be go back to the settings you used in ImToo DVD Creator(a program which I don't Have/or use) and make sure you have included an audio source in the imput..if the interface is anything like TMPGenc you might have overlooked it and encoded your .vob's silent without including any audio.
