problem putting linux in ipod 5th gen

    after i put linux on my ipod it said succesful turn off and reboot. when i did it came up with the error message in different languages to reconnect and use itunes to restore. what did i do wrong....i followed the tut to a tee...

    I've never heard of that error message, was it a message from Apples firmware or Linux?
