Problem to transfer an .AVI file

Hi,

I have a number of JPGs and mini .avi movies taken with my digital camera (Canon Powershot A40), I always use ZoomBrowser software to download them from the camera CF Card to my HD.

Also this time, I've done the same, but one mini movie doesn't want to be transferred.

I get an error message: Cannot copy the file: parameter is incorrect
I tried to use a card reader but same result.
Often,trying and trying again it blocks my PC.The mini movie is only 3,8 Mb and if I click the properties everything looks fine, as you can see in the link below.

What else can I try?

if a card reader cant copy the file over
it sounds like you may have a bad sector on your storage card although that is not the error message I would have expected yor could try using avifixed whilst you have the card in the reader

Tried AVIFix, ASFAVIRepair but no way.
When it starts to repair the file, it stops at 19% and gets stuck.

What else could I try?

I think your card is on the way out give up on that file clear your card if your card reader can write to cards as well transfer data to the card as full as possible then try to bring it back
just had a thought I wonder if you could run chkdsk, norton disk doctor or scandisk on your card
you could try that it may be a corrupt file I cant help you much more as I dont use a card reader myself
