I have a Dell w/ a Phillips 8610 DVD-R. My main problem is I can only play my DVD's on my computer. I use Record Now software to make the DVD's. What do I have to do to play them on a regular home DVD player? ** My other smaller problem is I bought 6hr DVD-R's and my computer can't read them. It says There is no disk in drive. Any help would really be appreciated because I'm going nuts with this!

you might want to upgrade your dvd media to something more trusted. i think its safe to say anyone on this forum would reccomend taiyo yuden or verbatim media (best to buy online at supermediastore.com). i know the taiyo yuden dvd-rs work just fine on all my dvd players at home.

if you have an older dvd player, the less likely it is to be compatible with burned dvd discs. the best way to assure that your burned discs will play is to booktype them. if you want to try this, make sure your drive is able to, and consult this forum for some help.
