After "free" update, the ADOBE Reader v 8.0will not find my printer. It can not be deleted (removed) and Adobe support is no help! The reason I post this on your forum is to find if ANY OTHER USERS gave gad this problem and if they somehow resolved it.
My original Adobe Reader was provided with the NERO Software (I believe)! Any one have experience with this issue? I will bw lQQking for help here! Thanks

Nero doesn't support the software. Reader is provided in order to read documentation that is the Reader format. I'm not sure why updating Reader would cause your problem. I've updated Reader more times than I can count and have never had the problem you describe.

Have you tried to uninstall the printer and then reinstalling it? If there is a pending document to be printed, the printer usually won't uninstall.

Control Panels -> Printers -> right click on installed printer icon and select Delete. Restart the system. The "new" hardware should be detected and reinstalled.

Response to Laddyboy: Thanks for your comments.
I have tried to remove/reinstall the Acrobat Reader, I get an error message, (Error # 1714), that it can not be removed and advised to contact Adobe!
They want to charge a fee to trouble shoot and maybe fix it!
I have no other printer issues, only the one with Acro that can not find my printer. I continue to seek a resolution! Thanks ~

So it's just Reader that doesn't find the printer. The printer otherwise works with other applications, correct?

Go back to an earlier OS restore point before Reader was installed. That ought to solve the problem. Otherwise, you may have to backup your data and reinstall the OS for a sure-fire solution.

Also see if the following is of any use:

Response to Laddyboy ~~ Thanks again for your comment/suggestions!
I also found the link you sent to me and will try it Monday.
Also found some other 'workaround' possibilities.
The last thing I would ever want to do is reinstall OS in my Old Sony Processor! The system restore program from Sony does not like large drives and reduces the drive capacity. I have OS backup copy on an external Drive with full Windows XP from original install. I will use Acronis program to install but will probably first buy a new drive to put it on,,,,,, Thanks again!
