Hi to everybody, I have a problem with sound: running movie/audio CD I get a twitching sound from CD-ROM(Verbatim)/DVD-ROM(MadDog). It’s lagging, and comes out with interrupts with a slight flavor of echo. It also seems that the reading speed is not catching up with sound. I know it it’s not true – drives are fast enough, it’s just the way it looks like to me. Other wise sound is OK (if I am listening something from the hard drive). I did replace the cables, tried another drive – same thing. You think it’s a problem with software part? Thanks for your thoughts. -m. My system specs: EP-8RDA3I NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 Socket A with audio, LAN Realtek ALC65X selectable 2 or 6-CH audio with SPDIF header OS: Win2000, SP4 Audio Driver Version: 5.10.0.5440 DirectX 9.0c Audio Controler: nVidia (006A) AC97 Codec: ALC655
What software are you using to play the files? Try uninstalling and reinstalling this software. If it doesn't work, try using a different software and see if the same problem comes up.
I don't think so but it could be. Have you tried running this program on a different computer to see if it works?

Sorry about the double post. My computer messed up and I thought it didn't go through so I pressed reply twice.
I did try WinDVD 6.0 - the same "BS". There is nothing else to try, and there is nothing wrong with software. It's some kind of glitch with hardware (mobo). So I am gonna go for replacement. -m.
I have similar problem. After convert to mpeg vcd from .avi using tmpgenc, there is this audio twitching sound throughout the file. I mean 'twitch' like running too many program while playing the file. I have tried splitting video/audio, convert the audio file into various file type(.wav, .mp2, uncompressed .avi) before join it up but the twitching problem still there. Only the original file(.avi) and extracted .wav(from virtualdub) sounds fine. I have posted the file info(virtualdub) on one of those free website: http://www.online1.bravehost.com/ Is there problem on the file, any way to fix it?
