After I downloaded a movie, it had the r32... and so on. I extracted the file (which was an iso) but since the my HD wasn't NTSC (or something like that) formatted and it said that I can't have a file over 4gb or something.. And the movie i dled was 4.36 gb So is there anyway to split the file while it's still in the .rar? or is there another way of extracting it to my computer?
If you are running an NT based version of windows (win2k, XP, etc.) then you can convert one of your partitions to NTFS and extract. Otherwise you are stuck.
Can i create a partition and convert it to NFTS then extract, and after merge them back together again?
NTFS is better than FAT anyway. Why convert back? Creating/merging partitions can be dangerous. You could loose all of your data, but to do it you want something like Partition Magic.
80GB/8MB harddisks are inexpensive (~$65 bucks Canadian). Grab one and format it NTFS... Do you have SerialATA HD controllers?
What is the difference between NTFS and FAT? And if I do merge them back together again, will I loss the data on the partition or the main drive? And I have no clue what a SerialATA HD controllers is...
Sry for double posting but I found a possible solution. My sister's Laptop's HD is NTFS formatted. So is there a way to split the iso into two iso(or something else)once it's on my sister's hd, send them (via msn) back to my comp and burn the two iso together... Is that possble?
