Ok, i tried burning some songs onto a cdr and found that when i burn, i get to about 66/67 percent and it fails with my tdk cd burner. Now when i burn a cd with my other drive, it works just fine. It is a NEC dvd+r burner but works for cdrs. Does this mean my cd burner is going bad? I use it fine for playing games with, but it just fails for burning music. Any Help? Thanks!!! duboy1
hey man... yes, i would like to say ur laser is probably being worn out (probably from burning on cheap media) but it could be something else. it can be maybe the drive requires more resources/memory and it can be various things. but one thing i would definately do before tossing the drive is to test it in a computer of equal specs or higher. and if it is bad, no worries m8! cdrw drives are so cheap nowadays! so u shouldnt have a problem getting one. (my top suggestion) would be to toss both drives, or sell them, and get a pioneer dvr-107d drive! these are the best of the best in my eyes! you can go wrong! good luck man!
