Hello! Everything started when I started to receive "Illegal disc error" in Nero when burning DVD-R discs. Now I also have a problem burning CD-R discs. Could there be something wrong with the burner? Or is it the media? Or is it a DRM problem? Anyways, I tried burning 3 times, 2 times with 32x, and 1 time with 24x to see if a lower speed would help. Here is the log of the third time:
Hi mafioso21 Very well could be the burner - it's a bit on the old side. Last firmware update for it was mid 2005. Have you tried any other cd's besides these Sony's? How about dvd's - still having burning errors? If you are best bet is probably to get a new drive - they're pretty cheap even the good ones. Not much wrong with the log - just a write error which could be media related.
