i have ds lite with the r4 flash cart and a wii modded with d2ckey

i put pokemon battle revolution wii on connection standby and start up my pokemon pearl game and click the connect to wii button and my ds screens turn white while the wii screen stays in standby mode

has anyone else had this problem? i tried multiple ds roms of both pokemon pearl and diamond but same problem every time

Try updating to the latest R4 firmware, the problem you described happens with older firmwares. (iirc it was fixed, but not sure as i don't use my R4 anymore)

There shouldn't be any problem with the Wii as that's a 1:1 copy with no patching involved.

    Yes that's the latest.

Try turning off cheats/soft-reset etc. If you have trimmed the game, try using a clean version that has not been trimmed.

I'll find my old R4 and see if it connects to my Wii.

    Yes and no..

    Let me explain..

Certain pokemon games have security in them which requires you to have the original game the reason for this was nintendo didn't want any illegal versions of the game being able to connect to nintendo wifi so you will need to find a ppf o matic file to patch the game before trying it online.

This is not an issue with the Wii and IMHO has nothing to do with the modchip.

AFAIK, the R4 does not support Wireless connectivity to the Wii.

I have an R4, an EZ 5, and neither of them can connect to the Wii. this is/was a known issue.

I purchased a G6Real specifically to connect to the Wii and It works. I also understand that the CycloDS will connect to the Wii.

My Wii has a Wiikey running 1.9G I can connect to my Wii with a G6Real using My original or backup of PBR.

I do not ever expect this to be fixed on the R4. This problem has existed since 1.13.

If you have to have this functionality I suggest that you do what I do and find a card that is compatible with Wii.

I know that the G6Real works. I have heard that the CycloDS works. I do not know that other cards may work for this but perhaps someone else will let us know.
