problem with starview super

wondering did anyone else get a similiar problem, just yesterday the box stopped working, just saying 'no signal'. we were watching a program and then it just went. have tried to mess around with all the wires, changed the wires etc etc, and tried to do a rescan, but its just not finding any channels. could it possibly be the box is just knackered??

 

could be yer pipe went or a prob in the area, No Signal means just that, no signal, no live feed

 

same thing happening to me today..keeps going on/off every hour or so

 

might be your provider is working on a problem should be ok by tomorrow

 

im still not picking up anything. ive got my 'regular' channels so i dont think its a provider problem (not going thru the box, the box is disconnected now) plus my kryptview upstairs is ok. can anyone tell me the frequency settings i might try manually put them in.

 

frequencies differ in different areas,can you not get the frequencies off the kryptview that is working

 

OK Listen do this download this toolbar type in google BIGMAQ toolbar then when it's downloaded go on it and click on the key picture and selcet uk cable then your provider (if you live in ireland then i don't know where to get the brand new keys from sorry) and write the key down.

Switch you Box on and go to the menu and type 1570 a go on a menu named keys (or something like that lol forgot what it's called sorry) and you should come to another menu with numbers and your Providers name at the top now press the down button on your remote and type in the first key which would be key 00=????????????? then type in the second key which would be key 01=?????????????? and then save them. your box should now start to work BUT ONLY IF YOU'VE GOT THE LATEST KEYS which i found on the BIGMAQ toolbar. Anyways can you post keys here beause if you can then let me know and ill post them here ok.

if your other boxs are working on the same feed and the SV is saying no signal, fact reset and re-scan on your provider, make sure your cables are in properly also, now if you are still getting no signal, try the box in another location, if its still no signal, it could be your tuner is goosed

I had the 'no signal' problem on my box and couldn't get itv1 or itv2 on only. I've just done a factory reset and then re-scanned them in. I've pressed 1570 and turned the EMU key on but i've now lost everything bar the free channels.

Any idea whats wrong? I blame my mam whinging for ITV2....haha.

 

Scrap that.............i've give it the quick off and on and it's re-booted and is now working fine.

 

i did as mufc786 said to do and it worked a treat on me mates box

 

or just download the latest firmware and you wont have to worry about keys anymore
