    hi...
am trying to convert a downloaded avi movie into a dvdR, and the first step is to use virtualdub

am using virtualdub cuz the avi movie has 2 files, cd(1of1) & (2of2)
and i've read this guide which says i need to use virtualdub to combine the two files together. and the problem is when i open virtualdub program and open the avi video file i get this error message: [bold](couldn't locate decompressor for format 'MP43' (microsoft high-speed MPEG-4 V3), virtualdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video, directshow codecs such as those used by windows media player are not suitable)[/bold]

any help would be really appreciated.
    thnx in advance...

Download and install the MP43 codec.
DivX should work for it as well.
