Download and install Direct VobSub from here (that is, if you don't already have it)
    http://www.topdownloads.net/software/view.php?id=9741

Then, play the video in any media player. Notice that in the system tray, a curved green arrow icon appears, pointing in the upper left part of your screen. Right click it, along with the other options in the menu, you should see two options - Original Picture, and Flipped Picture. Click Original Picture, and then check out the video. If this dosen't solve your problem, or if there is already a tick mark before 'Original Picture', try selecting 'Fliped Picture'. Tell me if this solves your problem.

    converted videos are upside down?

Oped the advanced page, find this "flip picture upside down" option under "encoder",click it then do the conversion again to see if it can give you normal picture.
And i suggest you make a upgrade to v7.6.

ok i can correct the problem by choosing to flip the picture upside down, so that its actually right side up, hahahaaha anyways, now when i try and convert one small vob file to an avi file its automatically splitting the one vob into two avi files??? wtf? the only way i can successfully convert the vob is to choose the wmv format instead of avi, then it works fine. the strange thing is that even with a succefull wmv conversion i tried to convert that into the avi like originally wanted and winavi still flips it upside and seperates it into two avi movies, WTH?

Did you tick the option about "split output file" in the advanced page?

winavi 7.1, you may want to upgrade to winavi 7.6 especially if your settings are correct and its doing the opposite because there could be a bug in that version
