I dont know if anyone can help, ive contacted Xbox and they dont seen to want to help. I play a game for about 30 to 40 mins and it says that the disc could not be read. I dont know what would be causing this. I thought it might be the disk but i bought a new game and it did it on that one too. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Clean out your drive, tweak the pot, replace the laser or get a new drive! In that order! Try each one until you get it to work!
agreed, the lens cleaning most often helps out allot if you've never cleaned it before and it's especially helpful if it's played in a smoking environment. also the so called 'technicians' down at MS are about as useless as tits on a bore hog and most of them can only say 'ahhh just get a 360 instead' you can't fix stupid kc
how do you clean the lens? it in the console you cant just rip it apart and expect it to work perfectly again
most others and myself included most certainly can disassemble the drive (we don't rip it apart) (4 phillips screws) clean the lens with a Q-Tip and alcohol and reassemble it perfectly in less then 5 min. if that's beyond your capability then you can use a laser lens cleaning disc although they don't do as good a job as the Q-Tip does. kc
Thanx for the info......it is used in a smoking environment and ive had it for about a year and havent cleaned it yet. I will try that.
