Heyas, Ive searched all over the net and have not found anyone reporting these problems, so here goes. I am using Pioneer 107, my standalone is a Philips DVD 728. I've Tried burning images in nero, then recording with Decryptor, i've tried recording in nero as data, udf, iso, rom and still no joy. So here is the major problem, The DVD's burn fine on the disc and playback is lovely on the computer, I then go to play my first attempt on the Philips, and the DVD starts at chapter 5! This is not a major problem as I can program the chapters. The next issue with a different film is the fact that each time I've tried to burn it, Philips reads the DVD recognises it, but then in order to get any video up on the screen i have to search ahead, it finds video and starts it at the same place each time, but there is no audio.(yes i've tried with AUDIO_TS and without) I can't skip chapters etc, what is really bugging me, is that if it was a compatability issue, surely it would not recognise the DVD's at all? I've burnt many a Datawrite red top V2 and they all play fine on my standalone, i've even burnt bulkpaq orange and achieved the same results, I am of the opinion that the 728 is highly compatable with even the cheaper media. So what could this problem be down to, i've gone over my Nero settings and DVDdecryptor settings, still no joy. I'd Much apreciate any help as I am - close to sending these fujis traveling at a high velocity via my window. The most frustrating part is that they play fine on the PC, then the chapters will be in the wrong order on the DVD player, or simply it half works, ive actually had two Successful Copies with full menus burning as a dvd data taken from images made from single layer DVD's done on decryptor and dvd2one. Thanks a million Samba.ie
The backup in particular was not from a dual layer disc, so this is not the problem, has anyone come across this problem before and managed to pin it down to bad/cheap media?
