I have some SVCD's on CD-R. To burn them to DVD, I copy the MPeg file on the SVCD to my desktop, open my authoring software, then burn the mpeg file. No prob...usally works. HOWEVER... Some of the SVCD's will not copy to the Desktop. I get various error messages such as: Invalid MS DOS Function, Error in Cyclic Redundancy Rate, Request cannot be completed because of I/O System Error, and such. What the hell am I doing wrong? Someone please help....Thanks in advance.........Mike H

I used to do the same thing ...I got the same errors, the only way i got around them was I was trying to copy the file from my slow cd-rom(24x-on-laptop)and it wouldnt copy. being frustrated and not really paying attention to what I was doing I took the disc out tried other discs that worked fine and not wanting to give up on that disc I put it back in but this time I put the disk in my external usb 2.0 (40x-burner) and got the file to copy. How to explain that one is weird but it worked so hopefully you can try a different cd rom and maybe that will do the trick for ya .
