Made a disc CD-RW with bios.bin (1024) and a dummyfile. I start my xbox, the light turns orange, then green and the trey opens. I pop the CD-RW in and nothing happens. What to do? (Burned the CD-RW as a normal Datacd. Do I have to make it bootable?)
You might try a DVD-/+RW and or make a xiso image of the files then burn that iso but I do not flash my bios this way so I could be wrong. I do know that when installing my evox on most xbox systems they don’t like cd-r/rw but like dvd+rw or dvd-rw, it depends on the type of drive you have.
I would love to dude but I never use that chip - I am a big Matrix fan, sorry Psst...hay buddy...BUY MATRX! (little rip from zoltar the all wise all knowing nvida king LOL!)
1.Get Flashx(not xflash). 2.Get 4979 or 4980 3.Ftp flashx to your apss folder on xbox 4.Make sure 4979 is a 1 meg bios(use a bios manger to make it bigger) and name it bios.bin. 5.Ftp the bios.bin to a bios folder on your c: on xbox 6.Run flashx from xbox, follow the instruction to flash it with the bios.bin in your c: www.xbox-scene.com will have mo in depth tutotrials on making a bigger bios and how to do all the other junk listed above. BE CAREFUL!! It you flash the bios wrong your a hosed! I did and had to hot flash, but that was a another adventure!
