Problems making a video DVD with Nero 7 premium

    I recently had to put my computer down. I had used Nero 7 Premium for audio and video for some years, no probs. Now I am o nly allowed access to making a video CD.
    When I look at the setting in Nero Info tools, I see that my new DVD does not have write facilities.
    Any suggestions please

    could 1 of 2 things?

    your drive doesnt burn dvdr's

    or

    you dont have the nero plugins installed (extra serial codes needed) for dvd/mpeg.
