Hey Lethal_B I'm not trying to start anything but you might want to watch your language. If I remember right I think it's rule 6 "no foul language". There are other ways to express yourself, right.
sounds like yeah, you don't have the right codec. something like "klite codec pack"(its available on this site) has most all codecs, plus windows media player stripped of all the crap, BUT!.... it's huge. one of the codecs in it (i THINK it's ligos. don't recall really, since i deleted the whole thing and use WMP to download codecs now) is damaged, won't work, and is so old there's no replacement. so... you PROLLT won't need it,i did. once. so it may be worth your while to give it a shot. hope this helps.
ok, after reading this, the same thing happened to me. washed out, what look like compression artifacts, blurring, right? well, i spent the last 23 hours finding the problem, and at least for me, i had just installed the latest nvidia forceware drivers. after re-installing winMCE (from the main disk it says "upgrade" i chose this. it was pointless, but hey..)and un-installing every other vid program and driver set. so still same prob. anyway, i uninstalled the forceware drivers, went back to an earlier set, and now the problem had gone away. try installing an older set of vid card drivers. if that doesn't do it, well, i'm stumped good luck
My dad installed the new nvidia driver for his game guild wars. i dont think hed let me uninstall it.
i backdated to nvidia build 72.14, with coolbits installed for overclocking. i may go up from there, and see which driver actually burns the vid display, but atm, it's stable overclocked, and the vids work fine. works with media center, too.
Thx for the help chromesn problem is fixed. I installed a newer driver though but works for game and video files.
np. going back through the nvidia website, for driver downloads, i notice the 72.14 build (that i'm using) is the only one atm available for me, using Media Center Edition. a later driver would prolly work on another system, like XPPro, or XP. glad i could help.
