    Hi guys,
I Have read as much as possible on mediaguru's guide to burning dvd on mac,but still cant find a solution to my problem,i have a lacie external burner dvd rw double layer slim to be exact, the guide says at the start to insert disc into mac,but my ibook g4 doesnt have a superdrive so i cant do that.

I Have tried downloading mac the ripper, but it doesnt do anything even with my burner connected.

The media i am using is DVD+R,4.7 gb single sided discs,id this the reason why?do i need dual layer discs to go with the dual layer burner?

The package is installed correctly, where am i going wrong?

    James.

does the internal drive able to read dvds?

you need to rip to hard drive first with mac the ripper..

then you may need to compress... then burn..

you dont have a superdrive but you put the blank into the lacie drive..

and what software are you using for the actual compression and burn..

we need a little more info... what software are you using?
