Problems Trying to copy Home DVDs

    Help! I am a real newbie!!! I transfered a holiday video onto DVD X8 disc which is 3 hours long and ok. Bought a new DVD Writer 16x to copy and give copies to friends.This came with Nero 7 essentials. I have tried to copy my dvd onto Tuffdisc 16x +R but half way through it stops, stating either writer error or user abort. As I have never done this before can someone tell me what I am doing wrong please!!!
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    use better media! Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim! Using better media (not the cheap stuff) will prevent many problems. And if you have a Nero log that would help..... but start out using better media and see if you still have that problem.
