    Hey all,

A friend asked me to have a look at their eurovox max as it was only picking up limited channels (50 or so) after a factory reset and standard scan.

I'm not used to the eurovox so did a bit of searching around here and found some useful info - have been messing with it tonight and had limited results, hoping someone can help me the rest of the way.

On the auto scan the box found 5 frequencies, which covered the 50 channels. I manually entered the others from the list (see below) including the two most recent changes posted on the forum earlier this month.

I did that by going into menu, installation, user installation, CH edit and then adding them one by one... once that was done I hit auto scan on the user installation menu (which lists the frequencies), the manual installation button doesn't do anything (told to press blue on screen for manual scan, nothing happens) not sure if it's supposed to.

Anyway, the two newest frequencies added (the last two below) seem to have a high quality reception and account for the 20 or so channels I've now found... the ones from 6-11 on the list don't have much of a reception and don't pick anything up.

Box is in Finglas, N*L etc.

Frequencies I'm using (ones in bold are the ones that seem to have channels at them):
    291
    299
    307
    315
    323

    339
    347
    355
    363
    371
    379
    394
    402

    Symbol Rate: 6.887

Are the non-bold ones wrong now?; the thread I got them from was from May...

    Thanks for any help

There is work going on at the moment so probably not the best time for scanning, also make sure you are plugged directly into the main feed and take out any splitters.

I have had numerous people with queries as per this subject. I have now amalgamated a channel dump file that is a cross between the Eurovox frequencies and a subbed boxed and the quality is much better, you will find the cdf in the Eurovox folder of Eamos FTA Library it has all the channels sorted into favs etc. If you do not want to load the cdf the frequencies you show that are not in bold need to go up by 500Hz, ie 339.000 needs to be 339.500.

That's great scouser - adding the .500 to the 6 worked a treat.

I haven't got the right cable to connect the box to the PC so can't get the channel dump, wish I could - have to manually sort the channels now!

Ah well, at least I have them working!

    Thanks again
