Anyone hear of problems with connecting to internet using sympatico (Dsl) as isp. My brother inlaw's computer is running very slow yet no virus or trojans detected. He claims that he tried connecting through a friends isp (cogeco, cable )and all is good. We're puzzled. I used sympatico myself and have never had a problem.
make certain the line filter is not between the computer & modem or between modem & wall jack. try another phone cord between wall jack & modem. try another net cable or usb cable between the computer & modem. try another wall jack!
