I downloaded this game called Petz 5. I took the ISO, burned it onto a cd and tried to run my game. It wouldn't work. Next, I extracted the files from the ISO and burned them onto a cd. Still nothing. The petz screen will pull up, but then it will tell me "Please insert the correct CD-ROM". Does anyone know ANYTHING about what might be happening? I would greatly appreciate a response. Thanks! April
What type of game is this (XBOX, PS2, etc...) I'm not too keen on PS games but for the xbox and game disc, usually the CD version that has the best success is CD-RW. You also might wanna try burning it to DVD-R. Obviously, there would be a lot of space not used but you could make a multi-game disc using Craxtion. That is all advice based on an xbox game. Please eloborate...
It's a PC game, actually. One of those where they install partially and everytime you play you have to put in the disc. Like I said, I have the image of the exact cd on my computer, and the game is already installed itself. My cd-rom isn't working, so I got a VirtualDrive and am currently using that. My computer recognizes it like I installed new hardware. When I load the "cd" into the virtual drive, it'll show the logo icon (making me think it's the right thing). Thank you so much for helping me
You are gonna have to find out what copy protection the game has. Go to www.gameburnworld.com and look through their listing of games for yours. You should be able to find what protection details there are if any. I would give you the exact directory but I'm currently at work on lunch and I can't access that site from here. ;(
