    hello.
ok so my problem starts of when i insert the dvd i get this error.

    Disc Error
    --- please eject the disc----
playback feature may not be available on disc

this is how i created it my dvd.the first thing thatw i did was i converted my media with the software called allok rmvb to dvd converter
    http://www.alloksoft.com/rm_rmvb_to_avi_mpeg_dvd_converter.htm
and when its done it creates two folders AUDIO_TS
and VIDEO_TS. and i know that in all dvd's this two folders are crucial because with oout them it won't play them. The Video_TS folder has this files created by the converter vob , pls, Ifo, and bup files.then i followed this tutorial for burning it
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burn_dvd_folder_dvd_decrypter.cfm
once it was done i inserted my dvd into my dvd player and recive that error. so i was wondering about how can i fixed this error or if the process of which i made the dvd was wrong. please i want to burn the dvd using dvd decrypter and nothing more. thankyou for you time and hope you can help me.

Ok, first what type of blank media are you using, the best to backup DVDs for me are DVD+Rs. That disk error you mentioned may happened becuase the DVD player you have does not play DVD-Rs.
To make your life simpler just use DVD Decrypter (but if you don't have it yet it is going to be tough to get since the rights for the software were transfered some time ago, or something like that). DVD Decrypter works most of the time, but if it does not or you cannot get it try DVDFab Decrypter works good too. If you are trying to make the Dual Layer DVD, DVD9, fit in a regular DVD5 you will need DVD Shrink, if you will burn in a DVD9, never mind DVD Shrink.
To burn the DVD a good software is Nero. If not use your choice. Also, some problems may arise with the kind of protection that the DVD has. Some DVDs have some protection that puts "junk" in it, other than the encryption, so that it will be harder to get a perfect backup. If using DVD Decrypter or DVDFab and Nero does not work try using VOBBlanker(easy to use) to remove that "junk" that may be causing the problem.
    Hope this helps.

well my dvd player does support dvd -r because when i burn my dvd using nero it works fine and im able to see it but this time is different. because i am not trying to back up any dvd rather making my own. i used the program called allok rmvb to dvd to convert the rmvb dvd. but in that porgram there is a choice that makes the ifo, bup , and vob files with the folders. and since i didn't wanted to put any menus converted a folder containing both the audio and video folder into an iso image. and with dvd crypter i burn it into a dvd. its a 3.8gb file.not sure about the protection since i did not rip it from a dvd. anyways once it was burn it only worked on my computer. here is an image of what the allok rmvb to dvd converter made. maybe there is a file im missing.

Assuming that the original Real Media files were good and you can play them on the pc, can the dvd disk that you burned be played on your PC?

If your dvd is playable on the PC but not on the standalone player, then post the Nero log on the Nero forum.

If the dvd is not playable on the PC then download DVD Shrink.

    http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/dvdshrink32setup.zip

Run Shrink and click on 'Open File', find your folder with the dvd files that your program created and see if Shrink can load them OK.
If it gives an error message then the files are not in the proper format for a DVD.

If Shrink can load (and play) the files, then burn a new dvd using Nero or DVD Decrypter (you can option Shrink to use either prog.)
Also don't burn at more than 4x.
