I got this dvd burner and i wanted to put it in my desktop computer. So i opened it up and connected the wires (each labeled bay 2) to the dvd burner. Then i closed it up and tried to start my computer, however, it didnt start. It gave this load single beep and i got an error screen and windows froze at the loading screen.

I was using the dvd burner before as an external one and it worked fine, so im not sure whats wrong with it now. Im thinking maybe somethings mucked up with a jumper (its set to slave right now). What do you guys think?

To get into your bios you'll need to reboot (most computers). When your computer is just starting to boot up, you'll sometimes see on the black screen something about hitting one of the F* keys. If you remember which one it is, begin pressing that key right when the computer is starting back up. If you can't remember, you can check to see if yours is listed here:

When you get into your bios be sure your drive is showing up under "Secondary Master" or Secondary Slave"
