Quick question...is anyone else running into installation problems with Nero 5.5.10.20 on WinXP systems? I installed in fine earlier on my Win2k box...but it keeps giving me a "msvcrt.dll" copy error. Clues?

I have an IBM A30 Laptop with Win XP and AL the updates. 1ghz, 256 SDRAM (PC133 I think), and 30 gig hd. Loaded fine on my AMD 2400+ XP, 512megs PC2700 DDR, 309 gig machine.

I reformatted the laptop (because of a different incident) and tried reloading Nero..again same problem. It crashes at the copy process of MSVCRT.dll. Its part of the CoverDesignCommonDLLs.

Any clues would be appreciated. (PS, I can copy the install folder into the Ahead\Nero folder on my drive and still use Nero, just none of the other added install features and it is not "uninstallable")

    Hello
I have a Toshiba 2450 P4 2.8Ghz with 512Ram (A notebook) running Win XP with all updates and have run Nero 5.5.10.20 and succesfully burnt to over 12 DVD-R and DVD-RW (total), only had 2 disc fails and that was the discs not Nero.

Well, I am not sure what the root problem was but I expanded the file using WinRAR and then rar the setup program. Something with the self-executing packed file was causing the issue. All is well now. :) Thanks.
