could someone please help me, i downloaded a couple of films the otherday and now i want to put themon dvd+r but when i start burning thefilm on to the dvd it comes up with a error message of "unable to prepare data for recording:transcoding of videos failed"does anyone know what i should do? by the way they are in XVID format but i think nero 6 can encode am i right?

I am not sure if nero can use xvid files or not. You will need xvid codec either way. If you have to you can always use something to convert them first like showshifter or something. Check it out here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_capture_tools/showshifter.cfm
