Hey did anyone notice that when you install nero 7 and register it it doesnt register all the components? I tried to use the "Lame encoder" yeah thats the name of it stupid isnt it. Well anyway when I tried to use I had to register the program again which isnt instantaneous it takes 2-4 days to get registered meanwhile you cannot use the program till that happens. Customer service for nero doesnt answer the long distance phone and tech support costs $1.25 per minute with no free telephone calls emails dont get answer at all unless you count automatic responses which tell you they received an email from you. Anyone have a way around this nonsense? I thought nero was a good company wow have they really gone down the tubes.

Yep Nero 7 is supposed to be really crap. People say it's been simplified for idiots. I suggest you get Nero 6. It has everything and is very easy to use. It's highly regarded.

BTW if your encoding CD's through Nero then I would suggest you use something better called Exact Audio Copy. Look at this guide which will explain everything = http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm

EAC also uses the Lame encoder.

Well I was ripping wavs to mp3's and as I purchased nero 7 I wanted to use it. It started out nice it picked up all the names of the songs and artists and used the "artist - song name" format I like to use as others like. But when I clicked go it said I had to re-register it even though it had my serial number already inserted thats just plain bad programming if you know I have a serial and its good why re-register pain in the butt! So as I couldnt use the nero I paid for I had to download a bunch most didnt work as they only let you rip 3 songs off the cd until you pay for them. I did find a generic program but it didnt use the names at all. I will try your suggestion, get this today nero closed early being friday the 23rd and they let their staff go home early but they didnt say anything on their hold recording so I was on hold with nero for 30 minutes until the recording changed to "sorry we are closed for today" argh!
