I hope I posted this in the right forum. If not, sorry. I know other people have posted problems with .ogg files. I've attempted to use the suggest solutions to solve my problem...but it doesn't seem to be working for me. Maybe it's because I'm new to this stuff. I tried to use the OGM Demuxer, but when it tried to convert, it said something about not recognizing the heading of my file. Then it just basically copied the same file again (but renamed it) so that it was still a .ogg file. So then I tried to use Alltoavi, but when I clicked execute, nothing happened. I tried to play around with the advanced options, but nothing happened once again.
What are you trying to convert the file to? Or are you just looking to play the ogg Vorbis audio file? There are Codecs for the Windows Media Player here: http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/ if you just want to be able to play them. If you want to convert the file(s) to another format (such as mp3, etc.), try a search for a converter. Found millions of hits on a search. Some will be free, trial, or pay for. Narrow your search by audio file type you want to end up with. Alltoavi seems to be a video related program (I have no experience with it). So, is this an audio or video problem . . .
ogg != ogm Illiminable's filters should work fine. Haal's splitter can also I believe handle ogg files and ffdshow can decode theora. As for converting, if AllToAVI is mencoder based, then it should have worked.
I can play the files, but I really want to burn them so I can watch it on my dvd player. I can't burn .ogg with nero
