So I went out and got this Divx compatible player so I can free some space on my hard drive. It did not cost much and it works really good. I got few Anime series recorded and it looks and works great, but then I starterd to have some problems. I am trying to burn Naruto onto DVD and it does just that, but for some reason I cant see all the subs. Half of it is cut of. I tryed adjusting tv and dvd settings with no success. Im kindoff new to this... so any help is appreciated. Another problem I'm having is that on another project that Im trying to burn. This time its Samurai Champloo. It works just fine on my Media Player, but when I burn it on DVD, Episodes 1,25,26 for some reason dont work. All others are great. So I wonder what the problem is . When I check the properties, they are Divx encoded just like the rest of the files, but for some reason my Philips DVP642 Divx DVD player just skips them. If anyone has any idea what to do let me know please. Thank you.

The subtitles getting cut off is due to your TV's overscan.

Are you sure that they are DivX? Most stuff availble for download is encoded with XviD. Still I guess even with DivX it is possible to create files that aren't ESS compatiblem such as enabling qpel.
