just got u10 and i have had about ten coasters cant get it to burn right at all only managed to copy 1 disc so far im using xp ,turned dma off to p10 can anyone please help_X_X_X_X_X_[small]if it aint broke tweak it[/small]
I am running xp home edition also, and have had the same problems, i use nero vision or nero 5.5 and had to update the later to recognise the writer. If it's 'write errors' you are getting then that's the same as me. If there are read errors try using a different dvd reader to make an image. My desktop in now in at the pc shop and they are looking at the writer. I defintely think it is hardware problem.
I amy be wrong but I seem to have read that dma should be off and I heard that this drive should be upgraded with firmware.
