I have trouble playing Divx movies that are ripped from DVDs through Windows Media Player 9.The picture and sound play but the colours are not correct (too dark).Basically I have tried many different players/codecs: Divx 5.02,Xvid, MediaPlayerXP,Nimo5Build 7, GDiVX, DivXPro503Gain Bundle and some more. I am also prompted by an error message. I have checked the error log on Media Player 9 and it seems to have a copyright violation somewhere...Please help!!!!
i had that problem at one stage try downloading a fresh copy from http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm and install the codecs again that should help you
Cheers Spike but I have tried installing a new copy of Windows Media Player 9 and then reinstalling every codec in every possible way (eg some codecs and not others and parts of Divx/nimo)....I cant seem to isolate the problem...some Divx films do work fine yet DVD ripped through Divx files generally dont work....
