I hadnt been using nero for a while when I yesterday wanted to burn a vcd. But when I dragged a wmv file over it said it could not be added because it was an invalid file format. I burned wmv files before so it seems odd. I've tried reinstalling Nero but that doesnt seem to be the problem. I've recently done a system restore so maybe a codec was lost in the process. Is there a specific codec that will help me add the wmv files in burning rom? Or is it another problem? Hope someone can help me.
Does it do it with any WMV file? Maybe it was a corrupt file or something. Is wmv listed as supported in the drop-down menu when you browse to add your sources? If it is not supported, try installinfg FFDShow( when I disabled Nero's codecs, to see if i could add subs in Nero Vision, FFDShow picked it up).
I tried with ffdshow but it didnt change anything. I have the problem with all wmv files so its not just a corrupted file. I dont have a dropdown menu for adding in nero burning rom, I just drag the files from right to left. A couple of weeks ago it worked just fine so I'm very puzzled about this.
