My LG DVD player 5603. Will not read these disks. I know my dvd player is compatable with DVd+R. Because i've used maxell Dvd+R before. I have tried using nero 6 in iso mode and UDF mode. Without any luck. Also tried using VOB instant dvd. The datawrite disks work fine in my ps2. But would prefer if they worked in my standalone Dvd player. Will be very greatful if someone could explain how i can make my DVD player read datawrite disks thankyou
I think the moral of this problem is, stick to what you know works. If maxells worked fine before ( i have no experience with maxells) then use them again. It is often false economy to use cheaper branded disks. They either fail immediately or later on down the line. My advice would be to buy a small quantity of Riteks (branded) & transfer your datawrites onto these then hurl all your datawrites in the bin or just use them purely for your playstation. Ps you may get more help, in future, if you post in the correct section. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Why are The Samaritans always engaged?[/small]
I`ve also used Yellow top Datawrite (-) instead of (+) but they are the same crap may be because Princo makes them. Take brian100`s advice and get rid of them, that`s what I did when I came accross Ritek GO4 disks, those will never fail you and will play on your domestic DVD player. If you still want to use the rest of your Princo rubbish burn them at speeds no higher then 2x you`ll get better results that way, all my Datawrite disks that were burnt at 4x are full of read errors, no such problems with Ritek GO4 - Highly Recommended...
